Minimalist interior design would be a perfect sanctuary to chill your tense soul after such a long weekday. Take your seat, and enjoy this lovely minimalist coffee shop I am about to tell you. It is an anti-mainstream one with less people bustling around. Perfect place to get lost in your books or thoughts if you are an introvert, like I am.

         Tiba-tiba handphone saya menerima panggilan dari nomer yang tidak dikenal. Nomer itu berasal dari operator yang sama seperti yang saya gunakan, XL-Axiata. Karena saya merasa tidak mengenal nomer tersebut, saya hanya diamkan saja sampai beberapa kali deringan. Tetapi, setelah beberapa kali deringan tersebut, akhirnya ya sudah, saya pikir mungkin urgent sekali sampai telepon segitu getolnya di pagi buta. Mungkin juga dari keluarga, karena kebetulan saya sedang tinggal jauh dari rumah. Ditambah lagi, kebetulan beberapa jam sebelumnya terjadi gempa di Yogyakarta.

A Place to Chill Out: English Ivy Coffee

Just another Sunday in my ordinary life. I woke up at 5am, replying to far-away friend’s texts, and fell back asleep. Next time I woke, it was 7 am. I’ve been thinking to go out since, but had no idea where to go. Wanted to get some coffee, but too bored to go to Starbucks. Yep, I went there that much which finally made me tired of going there.

Long story short, I decided to go to this cute coffee shop that a friend told me. I have never been there before, so I thought I should just give it a try. After a quick shower and lunch, I rode my scooter to get there by using google map. Fyi, I suck at reading map.

            On every 22^nd of the month, Starbucks is Honoring Earth Day. Therefore, you would see the slogan that I put up there every month on Starbucks’ Instagram account or their official LINE account. Just like today, I went to Starbucks and brought along my tumbler to get that 50% off. I usually order the same old beverages as always. Like hibiscus tea, earl grey black tea, caramel macchiato, or iced café mocha. But today I wanted to try some new things. Cheaper ones, actually.

Stranger's Roses

I personally never imagined to get a bouquet of flowers at my door. Even I indeed sometimes think that it would be sweet if someone give me those. I ever read one of my friend’s bio on a social media which stated “not one of the flowers kind of girl”. It was not wrong at all, but just let’s be honest here. If anyone by any chance surprise you with flowers, wouldn’t you be happy, though? 

            Flashback to few previous years, when I was still in my teenage world. I “met” this guy in a chat room on the internet. It was supposed to be a video chat one, but he hasn’t got cam on his computer at that time. He only put a pic of him there. The one and only picture of himself. White shirt, brown pair of eyes, messy-curly blonde hair, and an awkward pose.

Oreo Pudding At Its Best

Growing up living under the same roof as my parents was actually one of best time of my life. I don’t need to worry about food if I am hungry, cos I would just simply walk to the kitchen to find meals since Mum does all the cook thing. To be honest, I was such a lazy bone to do that kitchen thingy. I swear my Mum was always moaning each time I refuse her command to cook (I’m sorry, Mum!), but that doesn’t mean I did literally nothing when she cooks, I did help, a little. 

            Ever since I moved to another city for study and started to live on my own, I realized that cooking skill is actually beneficial. Not only it helps you to fulfill your appetite, but it also supports you to save some money that you spend on food! In fact, I’ve had started to cook my own meal and trained my cooking skill since then (especially when I run out the cash cos of buying too much books! #bookwormproblem).

            As a student, the end of the month is definitely a pain in the ass. It’s such a struggle to survive with almost no money in the ATM and also barely own some cash in the purse. Being young and broke is no fun, really. So, in order to keep me alive and sane, I had an idea to make my own cake for my snacking time whilst having a movie marathon in my crib.

            Half Moon Run's debut album "Dark Eyes," originally released in Canada by Indica Records in March 2012, has been picked up by Glassnote Entertainment Group. Glassnote will oversee the global release of "DARK EYES" in 2013. Released in France on June 17th through Polydor Records, in the United States on July 23rd on Glassnote Records and July 1st in the UK, on Communion/Island Records, and the rest of Europe on Universal.             I first discover this band when I was on Spotify. Call Me in The Afternoon was the first song that came up on the playlist. It was automatically stealing my attention since the tune is so catchy and unique. Like once I heard it, I felt the need to listen it over and over again. Indie rock is one of my cup of tea. I think that’s why I got easily attached to their music.

            Their newest album was Sun Leads Me On. It consists of 13 songs altogether. My favorite track on this album are Turn Your Love, Everybody Wants, Throes, Devil May Care, and Trust. If you haven’t checked them out, you really should and thank me later! Ciao.

Relieved

I had a feeling something is going wrong between us.

It was a weird feeling, but it seemed so real.

All of the sudden you keep telling me that you love me and you only ever wanted me to be yours.

Smiling, was the only respond I gave to you that time.

You promised me the world. 

Promised me forever.

Promised everything that I know you couldn’t do.

Yet, I believed in you. 

I believed in every shitty words that came out of your mouth.

Feelings.

            Have you ever felt you made a big mistake after taking back someone who hurts you many times? Have you ever felt like you are the stupidest person to forgive someone after he cheated on you several times? Have you ever felt so fed up of someone’s promises cos he always the one who breaks them? Have you ever thought that you deserve someone whom better than this person you are currently with? I have. Fyi, it’s the shittiest feeling on earth.

Forgive Me Not

I ever met someone whom I adored so much. 

He was an oldie, but a goldie.

I remember we had so many things in common, but most importantly, we both love reading.

I’ve never read any Japanese author, ‘till he introduced me to Haruki Murakami.

I remember one time he told me that he finished 1Q84 on the plane, that I should read it too.

That was when I began to fall in love with Murakami. 

He caused it and I ain't complaining.

One night I was such in anger.

We had big argument that I told him to go away.

Never had I ever thought he would be gone right away.

I only known him not in real life, which he decided to cut off all our connection.

He stopped talking to me since, which left me in such a regret to let go of a nice soul.
