Just another Sunday in my ordinary life. I woke up at 5am, replying to far-away friend’s texts, and fell back asleep. Next time I woke, it was 7 am. I’ve been thinking to go out since, but had no idea where to go. Wanted to get some coffee, but too bored to go to Starbucks. Yep, I went there that much which finally made me tired of going there.
Long story short, I decided to go to this cute coffee shop
that a friend told me. I have never been there before, so I thought I should just
give it a try. After a quick shower and lunch, I rode my scooter to get there
by using google map. Fyi, I suck at reading map.
According to google map, it takes only around 11min to get
to this coffee shop from my dorm. Little did I know, google maps was giving me
a shortcut which I’ve never came across before. As the result, I didn’t make it
to my destination, and lost at the same road twice.
Not giving up, in my last try, I decided not gonna following
that map no more. I tried to put another starting point to get there, which is
not my dorm. After an hour of searching, I finally made it. It’s located next
to new The Crabby’s. Only few meters away, the name of the coffee shop is
English Ivy Coffee.
The shop is not really big, but it’s quite nice to chill or
doing your college assignments, even for work. They have lovely decorations
that make you feels like home. If you wanna breath the fresh air, you could go
outside the shop and sitting around there whilst enjoying the rice fields
around it.

For the menu, they have two kinds of beverages; coffee and
non-coffee. To accompany your coffee time, they provide you with pastry
choices. What about the prices? Well, I think they have a fair price for their
menu. I ordered a cup of Americano myself, and it cost only IDR 25k. What
surprised me was, the barista said that I’d get 1x free refill for Americano.
Wow! 25K for two cups of Americano! Yay!!

Ps. If you are living in Yogyakarta, or have a plan to go to
this city, you should make a visit here, and feel the chill ambience yourself!
