“Bring your Starbucks tumbler or
mug and enjoy your favorite beverage HALF
PRICE.”
On
every 22nd of the month, Starbucks is Honoring Earth Day. Therefore,
you would see the slogan that I put up there every month on Starbucks’
Instagram account or their official LINE account. Just like today, I went to
Starbucks and brought along my tumbler to get that 50% off. I usually order the
same old beverages as always. Like hibiscus tea, earl grey black tea, caramel macchiato,
or iced café mocha. But today I wanted to try some new things. Cheaper ones,
actually.
Before
I made my way to the nearby store, I did a little research about another menu
that Starbucks have which I never tried before. I was a little curious about
this beverage called Café Misto or in French Café au Lait or Coffee and Milk.
Based on my research, Caffé Misto is actually the cheaper version of Latte.
The only difference between them is that one made with espresso, and the other
one is made with coffee. Yet the taste remains almost the same.

Other
beverage that I was curious about is Iced Coffee. I once tried Iced Americano,
and it was the worst decision I’ve ever made. I think I wasn’t born for that
strong coffee at all… Anyhow, I did a little research again on what’s the
difference between Americano and Iced Coffee. After a brief read, I came to the
conclusion that Iced Americano has no sweet in it meanwhile Iced Coffee has
sweetened with the classic syrup. Sounds fair enough for me that couldn’t stand
bitterness of Americano.

Those
little study actually helped me to decide what drink I would like to try next,
rather stick to the usual drink I always order. With only roughly $3 left in my
Starbucks card, I could get Grande sized of Caffe Misto and Iced Coffee using
my Starbucks tumbler! In other words, I only paid around IDR 25K for two
beverages today :D So, if you’d like to save some pennies on coffee, you should
try Coffee Misto and Iced Coffee, and thank me later ^^
