THE COFFEE BREWERS [COFFEE SHOP IN BERAU - A REVIEW]

I’ve been staying in my hometown for two weeks now, and to be honest, I am missing Yogyakarta already. One thing that I miss the most is the uncountable coffee shop along with its wonderful vibes. Let’s be honest, if you are living in Yogyakarta or ever been to Yogyakarta before, you definitely know what I’m on about.

Today, I decided to visit one of coffee shops that exist in my hometown, Tanjung Redeb, Berau. It is located around ten minutes from my house. The place is called “The Coffee Brewers”. First impression of this place; “Damn… Why so dusty?”. Yep. This place actually looks quite nice from afar, yet kinda ‘messy’ when you step inside.

Anyway, moving on. After I put my stuff on the seat, I went to the bar to order. There is only one barista today, and apparently, I’m the first customer (and still the only one as I was writing this). I’m scanning the menu on the wall to decide what I am gonna drink tonight. Not only they sell coffee, they also have juice, and snacks. After giving it some thoughts, I decided to have café latte.

After waiting for about 15min, my café latte is finally here. The barista drew a leaf as his latte art. He brought my coffee along with a tiny glass of sugar. I thanked him, then continued my business, writing postcards. Soon after I finished with my postcards, I took a sip of my latte. It tasted fine. Not too bad, not too good as well. I’d give 6,5 outta 10.

There are positive (+) and negative (-) points about this place. Lemme points them out for you;

Positive (+)

1. Fair Prices (15k – 25k)
2. Fast Wi-Fi Connection
3. Various Choices of Beverage

Negative (-)

1. Kinda Dusty and Messy
2. Unfriendly Service
3. Small Parking Space
4. Quite Hot in Non-Smoking Area

Overall, it is a fine place to stop by. But, in my opinion, this place needs some improvement especially in cleaning up the shop as well as being more friendly to their customer. (Astri)
