Passport Journey (Part III) – Finale!

Hello! I had such a long break from the last journey (you can check it here), here I would tell the rest of the story. Long story short, I get rejected to apply passport the first time because I had no statement letter (surat keterangan kerja) from company that I am working at right now. Then, I decided to ask the letter to my team leader at work. Yet again, it wasn’t that easy to get that piece of paper. I’ve asked for it, and she said yes and already emailed our HRD about it. A week, two weeks, three weeks… Nothing. Till she tried to ask to the HRD again about the request, but apparently, they didn’t get the email -_-

After that, the HRD told my team leader to send another request. My team leader then helped me to write another request, and finally, on beginning of April I got that goddamn statement letter. Thank God! Yet again, there was something unexpected happened. My bro texted me to say that my lil sis needs our family card (kartu keluarga) to get something about her joining high school. I had to send that card back to hometown, and postponed my plan for the third time. Uff.

A week later, I received the card back and continuously checking on immigration schedule. On April 26, I finally get my second attempt to apply for the passport. It was Friday, 8 AM. I arrived at immigration at 7.45 AM. Took some form to fill in and stuff. Everything going alright until it was the time I had to take picture. I sat outside the interview and photo room waiting for my number to be called. But being such an idiot that I am, I decided to step inside cos I thought the announcement could be heard inside. In fact… I was wrong -_- I didn’t hear my turn be called. After about 5min, I decided to walk outside and asked to the customer service about my turn. The guy answered that mine has already announced. I was panicking, then he suggest to go inside the room again and ask the people there about my number.

Guess what?! None of the workers said they have called my number. I was upset, but then there was this middle-aged man called me and said he would help me. I thanked him and handed my files to him. He then told me to wait a bit to get my picture taken. After waiting for a bit, it’s finally my turn. The man only asked few things such as where I live and where I work whilst setting in his camera. Unlike scary interview as what I read on internet. He then took my-luckily-not-so-bad-picture after all. Next thing I gotta do was pay for the passport. There were two ways to pay; 1. You can pay by Bank or 2. You can pay it cash at the Post Office (mobile one) outside the immigration. I chose the second way. After paying it, then you basically done! Wait for 3 working days to get your new passport!

Finally!
Cos I'm that Extra~
