Passport Journey (Part III) – Finale!

Hello! I had such a long break from the last journey (you can check it here), here I would tell the rest of the story. Long story short, I get rejected to apply passport the first time because I had no statement letter (surat keterangan kerja) from company that I am working at right now. Then, I decided to ask the letter to my team leader at work. Yet again, it wasn’t that easy to get that piece of paper. I’ve asked for it, and she said yes and already emailed our HRD about it. A week, two weeks, three weeks… Nothing. Till she tried to ask to the HRD again about the request, but apparently, they didn’t get the email -_-

After that, the HRD told my team leader to send another request. My team leader then helped me to write another request, and finally, on beginning of April I got that goddamn statement letter. Thank God! Yet again, there was something unexpected happened. My bro texted me to say that my lil sis needs our family card (kartu keluarga) to get something about her joining high school. I had to send that card back to hometown, and postponed my plan for the third time. Uff.

Passport Journey (Part II)

My passport journey hasn’t been easy by far. Why is that? Well, I went to the immigration on the day I applied, February 13, with a really happy feeling. I got my schedule at 10 o’clock, but I decided to go there 45min before. Once I arrived, it was still 9.30 in the morning and I had to fill in some forms. It took me awhile to complete all the forms, and after everything’s done I handed it in to the registration desk.

The woman at the registration desk then checks all my documents whilst asking my occupation in Yogyakarta. I answered it truthfully that I am now working here. She asked for either my office ID card or recommendation letter from work. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any of them at that time. She said it’s okay if I didn’t bring it yet today, then she gave me 5 working days max to come back with recommendation letter.

It upsets me, to be honest. But I can’t do anything at that moment, cos I haven’t got my permanent ID card and I didn’t know if I can ask for recommendation letter from work since I only been two months in this company. Soon after the ‘rejection’, I went home to get some sleep to forget the pain :”)

Passport Journey (Part 1)

A trial month (re: January) has passed so quickly, and it’s February already! This new year I’ve already making a list for things I wanna achieve and do. One of them is to own a passport. I honestly don’t know yet when I’m gonna use it, but hey, it’s always a good thing to prepare beforehand, right?

Since I’ve been living away, and as the requirements to make a passport is needed quite some important papers, I had to ask my brother to send our Kartu Keluarga over all the way across the island. It took few days till I got it in my hands. Soon after I received the paper, I frequently check on the “Aplikasi Layanan Paspor Online” to get a queue number. Fyi, immigration will refill the queue quota every Friday to Sunday. So, if you check on the app after those days, the quotas for next week will defo not available or already full.

OFFICIALLY A NIGHT OWL

It’s been already a month now since I first started my night shift. Never have I ever thought of taking this path, yet here I am. For the sake of contributing to adulthood world, being a night owl. Honestly, I do not mind tho. At least I’m still enjoying what I do so far. That’s the important thing, isn’t it?
